Network science and large data models

Professor: Massimo Franceschetti

Description: The objective of this project is to come up with network models arising from different kinds of data. It involves investigation the theoretical foundations of the model, validation through data, and statistical analysis of its properties, including prediction of how the mode will behave in different settings. Several possibilities for investigation include traffic in road networks, social network structures, communication networks, and musical representations in AI.

Preferred Qualifications: Programming in any language (e.g. Python), some exposure to probability.
