Generating, characterizing, and using entangled photons

Professor: Jay Sharping

Description: Scholar will learn to use the latest entanglement generation setup in the lab. A 10 week project typically involves extending the capability of that system to allow a new measurement or to test a new hypothesis. Currently we are implementing a new photon generation system, so making progress on getting it working and debugging issues is our primary objective.

Preferred Qualifications: Enthusiasm and a willingness to patiently work through a complicated problem.
