Dark matter and neutrino detection

Description: Understanding the particle nature of dark matter and the fundamental properties of dark matter lie at the heart of our knowledge of the universe at its most basic level. These two questions, intrinsically linked, can be probed with large experiments that perform the lowest-background measurements achievable at deep underground labs around the world. Students in my lab will have opportunities to engage in research analyzing data and simulating signals in these detectors, or working on R&D to design future, more powerful detectors.
