Atomically thin two-dimensional materials for brain-inspired-computers
Professor: Aiming Yan
Description: Memristors are key components for brain-inspired computers (BICs) as a memristor unifies information processing and storage, emulating the brain. In this project, we will be focusing on the fabrication of atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials via chemical vapor deposition- the essential components for 2D heterostructure based memristors. The 2D materials to be fabricated include semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides (the resistive layer) and graphene (the electrodes).
Preferred Qualifications: chemistry lab experience would be preferred.
