Application acceleration using next-generation computer hardware

Professor: Philip Brisk

Description: In this project, the student will learn to program computer systems comprising multi-core CPUs, GPU’s, TPUs, and/or FPGA. Explorations into emerging non-volatile memory is also a possible topic. This project will teach students how to measure application performance at the data center scale, and how to leverage these measurements to improve performance significantly.

Preferred Qualifications: The student needs to know how to program. Most of my’s projects are written in Python or C/C++.
