About: Du Tran grew up in Vietnam and moved to the United States his sophomore year of high school. At first he didn’t like math, but had a teacher who helped tutor him and now he really enjoys math and hopes to teach it in the future. Being a Cal-Bridge scholar helps him see the overlap between mathematics and other research like physics, computer science, and biology. He hopes to help undergraduates overcome challenges in the future.
