Description:One-week in-person research training workshop run by CSU faculty at CSUN.
Stipend: Accepted students will receive a $1000 stipend.
Cal-Bridge FAST Summer
Open to enrolled California Community College students that have successfully completed the Cal-Bridge FAST Workshop
Dates: June 21st – August 14th, 2027
Description: CSUN offers students the chance to engage in groundbreaking research and opportunities:
- Studies of biological physics and multi-scale modeling of cardiac tissue. Uses computer simulations to understand how cellular defects cause heart rhythm disorders.
- Computational biophysics research aids in solving problems related to drug design, DNA, and proteins.
- Exoplanets, protoplanetary disks, and the formation of young stellar systems utilizing the data from world-class telescopes to look into the cosmic dust and gas that act as the cradles for new planets.
- Work in Modern Computing and Communication Architectures (MOCCA) Lab to learn advanced computer architecture, memory systems, and hardware software co-design.
Stipend: Accepted students will receive a $7000 stipend.
Travel: Travel costs will be covered.
