Supporting astronomy with software

Description: Las Cumbres Observatory is a global network of optical telescopes for professional astronomers and education users. The LCO software team provides software to support every aspect of the observatory operations from telescope control to science coordination. The intern project will be to support the LCO users by enhancing the tools we provide to operators to diagnose problems with the hardware, software and science data. Depending on the inclination of the student this will be via Python tools or by developing AI agents.

Preferred Qualifications: Skill with any programming language. An interest in software engineering.
