Emergent Phenomena in Crystalline Quantum Materials

Description: This project focuses on efforts to design novel quantum phenomena in quantum materials, including complex magnetism, superconductivity, protected electronic topologies, and other states. To do this, the CalBridge student will be exposed to bulk crystal synthesis methods, X-ray diffraction for structure analysis, and thermodynamic measurements to characterize electronic and magnetic states across a wide range of temperatures and magnetic fields.
