Transition to university and physics learning in physics students

Description: We would love to have a scholar work over the summer to analyze data on teaching and learning collected during the year. We have two main projects in our group, and the scholar can choose the project of greatest interest. The first project analyzes student response to interactive teaching and alternatives to online homework. The second project studies student transition to the university and the effectiveness of a redesigned first-year seminar to support students in this transition. Scholars will develop coding skills, work in graphical and statistical data analysis, and/or qualitative desire (depending on the scholar’s interests).

Preferred Qualifications: Interest in improving undergraduate education!
