Description: This experimental and interdisciplinary project is focused on creating soft materials whose life-like dynamics is collectively powered by thousands of force-generating molecular motors. We recreate simplified materials from proteins-based nano-scale using units,. The goal is to reproduce essential biological phenomena, such as the ability to crawl, swim, divide and reproduce, from the minimal number of components.
